Summer Camp Sonny and Norman: Ludar Purdy Sonny: Just a note to thank you for a great time at the seminar. The material was well organized and clearly had been thought out in great detail. I can't imagine a better introduction to Kali Illustrisimo knife techniques. The hospitality, courtesy, and knowledge displayed by Master Suanico and yourself throughout were greatly appreciated. As an aside, I was wondering if you could clarify a few terms from the notes for me as I can't remember which names go with which drills and also can't find the terms in either Diego's book or on the net. I'm wondering about the following: 1) Under item VII (Twelve Retreats) number 4 Aldaves, number 7 Sombrada, and number 8 Ala abanico tutsadas which I'm guessing is "like fan ...." 2) Does Pugong mean blocking by cutting with the knife? Please let me know when you get more of the hand guards in as I would like to purchase a pair when they are available. I attended the Daga Contra Daga seminar at burbank campground this weekend, and i felt the need to comment on how well put together this seminar was. As an instructor I have been to many seminars and this was by far the the most organized seminar i have attended to date. The material was great and it flowed well. The system was very interesting and the tactics made sense The Value was second to none as everything was taken care of from food to lodgings with the reasonable seminar rate that was charged Thanks you for the wonderful experience |
